THE Chalk Farm Pool League tipped off on Monday night, igniting its “biggest season in over a decade”.
Thirty teams from across Camden and Islington are battling it out in three divisions.
The King’s Cross Hurricanes stormed to the top of the table in Division One with an 8-1 win over Cousins Night Walkers.
King’s Cross Gunners also fired their way to an 8-1 victory, beating Peckwater Tenants Association to take top spot in Division Two.
In Division Three The Crown are top after chalking up a 7-2 win over Castle.
League chairman Shaun Pollard said: “This is the most teams we’ve had in the league in over 10 years. It will be an action-packed season.”
