Brexit ‘traitors’?
Friday, 15th December 2017
• WHEN people questioning Brexit are labelled “traitors”, readers should hail US journalist Ed Murrow’s stance in 1954: “We must not confuse dissent with disloyalty… accusation is not proof… conviction depends upon evidence and due process of law… We will not be driven by fear into an age of unreason… we are not descended from (those)… who feared to write, to speak… and defend causes which were for the moment unpopular.”
