BUILDING work has begun on the site of a new home for a boys’ secondary school.

Marylebone Boys’ School had been housed in two temporary buildings since it opened in 2014 in Queen’s Park.

The school’s permanent site, in North Wharf Road near Paddington Basin, is part of a major development project by Westminster Council, which will also include 200 affordable homes and new community spaces.

Pictured visiting the site for a special ceremony are headteacher Richard Ardron (right) and (from left) Cllr Antonia Cox, a governor of the school; Sarah Clifford, chair of governors; pupils Hashim Hadra and Leon Newton Taetz; and council leader Nickie Aiken.
