Dead flowers to recycle anyone?

Thursday, 6th April 2017

• I CALLED Camden’s Refuse Helpline and said that I had a small bunch of dead flowers that I needed to dispose of and that I didn’t think they were recyclable, no longer qualified as rubbish or were waste food, so what should I do?

I was sagely advised that I need to buy a garden waste bag at a cost of £65 per annum.

Twelve times the cost of the flowers. I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.
