• AS no political parties are taking urgent practical steps to reduce toxic diesel pollution, small children and pram babies especially are being left to suffer as they breathe the fumes at ground level.

One immediate and imaginative positive idea is for cheap, disposable soft paper face masks to be available decorated as funny furry animals or flowers etc – but NO horror ones which frighten or increase naughtiness!

Might some child-loving small business entrepreneur interested in well-being make a trial of such happy masks for sale at a Camden or West End stall?
