George Eugeniou

• I HAVE just read the wonderful article on George Eugeniou (Totally Technis, March 3).

If ever an individual deserved to be honoured with an OBE and a citizen’s award it is George.

His contribution to the artistic and creative fabric of both Camden and London as a whole has been enormous. Many of our leading actors and artistic directors owe their career starts to him and his jewel of a theatre. Plus his community work with youngsters and folk of all ages makes him a community champion par excellence. I would encourage your readers to write to both the council and the mayor’s office to ask for official recognition of his life’s work. He is a living national treasure.
