Good riddance to the Marble Arch Mound

• IT’S coming down.
The disaster that was mound, that “cult classic” that cost taxpayers £6million, did not recoup any cash because it was too embarrassingly awful to actually charge people to enter and attracted no sponsorship.
It did not revive Oxford Street with an influx of tourists and visitors as promised.
If this demonstrates one thing about Westminster City Council and its leadership is a clear lack of imagination and forward thinking.
They must not be allowed to revive their cash-guzzling Oxford Street “piazza” scheme. Or be re-elected!
