• AS Putin’s missiles and tanks continue their bloody and murderous invasion of Ukraine, it is shameful that Westmin­ster Conservatives have yet to give to charity the nearly £120,000 which the two Westminster Conservative Associa­tions have received from four Putin-linked sources.

The four Putin-linked sources have given the two Westminster Conservative Associa­tions £118,491 over recent years.

The Cities of London and Westminster Conservative Association has received £76,764 since 2007. Westminster North Conservative Association has received £41,727 since 2009.

These four Conservative donors are all linked closely to Putin. Lubov Chernukhin is a former banker who is married to Putin’s former Finance Minister. Her donations total £18,504. Lev Mikheev is an investment banker who has links to the Kremlin. His donations total £32,500.

George Piskov is also a banker who launched a money-transfer service across Russia. His donations total £7,377.

Finally, Alexander Temerko forged a career at the top of the Russian arms industry with connections at the highest levels of the Kremlin. His donations, including those of one of his companies, total £60,110.

If Westminster Conservatives do not hand over the £120,000 to charities giving aid to Ukrainian refugees as a matter of urgency, Westminster residents can expect to receive election leaflets calling on them to vote for Boris Johnson’s Conservatives which are paid for by Putin’s friends.
