A MAN has died after being hit by a lorry in Finchley Road.

Police were called at 3.10pm to reports of a crash between a lorry and a pedestrian outside Finchley and Frognal overground station.

Officers attended with London Ambulance Service and a man was pronounced dead at the scene.

His next of kin have not yet been informed, the Met Police said.

Road closures are in place as the Met investigates.

A tweet by TfL said: “Finchley Road closure extended to between Swiss Cottage and Frognal Lane.

“Minor delays on the A41 S/B that is diverting at the closure point. N/B traffic on the A41 being diverted is tailing back towards Queens Grove. Expect delays in local area.”
