A SPORTS centre in Queen’s Park is staging a 24-hour “boxathon” as part of a fundraising drive to support people affected by the Grenfell Tower disaster.

Moberly Sports Centre will host the event on Thursday October 18 to raise money for people affected by the fire in North Kensington.

Andy Davison of Everyone Active said: “Ensuring we can continue to support those affected by the Grenfell tragedy is a cause very close to our hearts here.

“Sport has an incredible ability to bring people to together and can play a huge role in the healing process. We are going to do everything we can to raise as much money as possible for those that were affected by Grenfell and help provide them with new opportunities to take part in physical activity and sport.

“We hope to see as many members of our community as possible come together and get active to help raise money for an important cause.”
