AN art installation has been unveiled by the National Lottery at St James’s Park.
Luis Gomez De Teran’s work celebrates seven “game-changing” people who have helped transform “communities” across the country. The portraits appeared on the water (above) at the park that is run by the Royal Parks Agency.
Among the game changers included are Ed Parker – founder of Walking with the Wounded charity that helps tens of thousands ex-service personnel, Conor Largey, who is a youth worker in Belfast and the Maggie’s cancer charity chief executive Dame Laura Lee.
David Knott, National Lottery Community Fund CEO, said: “Celebrating the National Lottery’s 30th birthday is a momentous occasion, and there’s no better way to mark it than by honouring extraordinary people who have changed the game for their communities across the UK, thanks to three decades of support from National Lottery players.”
