‘The No 24 route is a vital lifeline for Pimlico’s residents’

• AS councillors for Pimlico South ward we write to call on Transport for London to save the No 24 bus route, which is at risk in the current consultation.

The No 24 route is London’s oldest continuous bus route and a vital lifeline for Pimlico’s residents.

The bus is regularly used by older people and those with mobility issues; and to withdraw this would have a major impact on people’s lives.

Pimlico doesn’t have any comparable bus routes to replace the No 24 and it is relied on by many residents for essential shopping and other journeys they make.

We understand this consultation is as a result of the Conservative government’s cuts to TfL funding but ask that TfL retain the No 24 route as a vital service for Pimlico residents.
