On Saturday 6th July, between 11.00am – 7.30pm, The Brunswick will be holding its first ever Summer Fiesta. Visitors will experience an unforgettable day filled with street food, live music and dance performances from around the world.

There will be lots of delicious global food to enjoy including Chinese, Thai, Caribbean, Turkish, Greek, American and more. Plus, visitors will be able to order their favourite summertime tipple at the centre’s bespoke cocktail bar. In addition, Riding House Bloomsbury will be showing the UEFA Euro 2024 Semi-Final and serving barbeque inspired food outside their restaurant, Spudos will be selling their homemade crisps and Manna Eating will be serving up healthy snacks.

The day will be jam packed with all kinds of live music and dance performances. World Tango Championship finalist Emma Lucia Reyes will be performing the most passionate dance on earth at intervals throughout the day. The world-famous Flamenco dance group ‘Flamenca Fiesta’ will be showing off their exceptional fiery dance skills. Plus, Latin Carnival Dancers ‘Funki Feathers’ will be wowing the crowds with their incredibly colourful outfits and magnificent moves – as well as persuading visitors to partake in the Brunswick limbo dance.

Bringing the Mexican vibes to the event will be the incredible Mariachi Rey Band who will be performing modern classics in their authentic rhythmic style around the centre. Bob Marley tribute act Duane Forrest (pictured below) will be bringing reggae classics that visitors will love. There will be Greek dance and music performances from the sensational Elite Greek Dancers and Greek bouzouki duo Chris & Cos to add to the day’s celebrations.

Following the hugely successful drawing classes at the Brunswick Art Gallery, the centre has arranged for visitors to take part in al fresco art classes at 2.30pm, 3.30pm and 5pm. The classes will be free to attend and tutored by an experienced artist called Anna Niman. All materials and tutoring will be supplied free of charge.

Families will also be able to enjoy the outdoor games on offer including Giant Jenga, Connect 4, giant chess game, Dominoes, and visitors can relax on the colourful seating.

The entire event is free to attend, and no pre-booking is required.

John Themis, Marketing Manager for the Brunswick says, “We wanted to bring the summer vibes to The Brunswick, so we are hosting our very own summer fiesta event – a magnificent celebration of street food, live music and dance. We’ve arranged for a whole host of food vendors to serve up food from all over the world alongside an eclectic mix of music and dance to create a vibrant cultural event for everyone to enjoy!”
