• THIS week I saw a mother with three young children.

One was on her shoulders, one walking by her side, very young, and there was a baby in a pram.

She was on her mobile phone and crossing a major road with no hands free if an incident happened, such as her tripping, or the child on her shoulders falling off, or the child by her side falling or running onto the road.

Where is the safety there for the children, in particular the child on her shoulders?

Mothers are risking their children’s lives, and also on bicycles.

Children have to be safe in cars, so why not everywhere? I believe many mothers now are being irresponsible and careless with their children’s lives.
