A solitary heron

• SOME weeks ago you published a letter asking “Where have all the herons gone from Regent’s Park”, and I hoped for an answer,

Walking my dog there I noticed all their nests were empty. But then a couple of weeks ago there was this solitary heron and I wondered how it survived, and still wonder where its family flew to.
