Mighty 12ft tall hollyhocks

• FURTHER to Jill Terry’s letter (How high does it grow? July 13) here’s a 12 foot zero entry for the tallest hollyhock competition.

On a sadder note, my hollyhock, including new seedlings, all have rust disease this year. Should I destroy them all and start again in a year or two?
