• THE frenzied revelations about Russian oligarchs have been very enlightening for many of us ordinary folk but not, I think, to most of the top people who are so busy looking after our interests.

It seems that not only have they known all about these kleptocrats for many years but they have even been entertained by them in their sumptuous homes and on their luxury yachts.

Furthermore I am told one former KGB officer’s family now owns London’s evening newspaper as well as one of our national newspapers.

But what about our own cherished local newspaper? Please tell us that you and your team are not in the pay of Russian billionaires.

But if you are, is there a luxury barge we can visit on the Regent’s Canal?

Now is the time for transparency.
