MORE than a dozen police raided a housing block in Camden Town on Thursday evening in an effort to “tackle drugs”, the Met Police have said.

Shocked onlookers spotted the Territorial Support Group (TSG) officers on Camden High Street at around 8pm.

A member of the public filmed the officers as they parked and then walked in single file down the road.

Dressed in protective clothing including a helmet and visor the unit, which specialises in public order policing, then turned down Miller Street before entering the Fairfield estate on Arlington Road.

The Met Police has said the operation was part of their “ongoing work to tackle drugs supply and associated criminality in the borough”.

And said: “Territorial Support Group officers carried out Section 23 Misuse of Drugs Act warrants in Camden.”

However, no arrests were made.
