We need a cycling proficiency test in schools

Thursday, 15th June 2017

• THE death of the 15-year-old cyclist involved in an accident with a motorcyclist, (Cyclist was killed day before 16th birthday, June 8) should flag up the urgent need for a form of cycling proficiency test in our schools.

We are all being encouraged to cycle but the ignorance of road safety can regularly be witnessed on our streets and not just by children. Let’s start tackling the situation now!
