We need our pavements and roads kept in good repair
Thursday, 10th March 2022
• ON Thursday March 3, while walking (using a walking frame due to arthritis and abscess in the right knee) from Victoria train station, along Wilton Road, I stopped at the crossing.
When the light changed to green I went to walk on, only to find the front wheels stuck in a rut. This an area where the tarmac stops a gap then pavement. I went head over tip fell on the walker.
I am 80 years old and a big woman. I was lucky three young people helped me up, BUT this should not have happened!
If this WCC council had made an effort to keep the pavements and roads in good repair, instead of wasting our “rates monies” on things like the “pillock hillock” at Marble Arch.
We need our pavements and roads to be kept in GOOD REPAIR BY THIS COUNCIL, since we are footing the bill.
