Floating bus stops ‘are highly dangerous to everyone’ 

• THE fact that buses have to announce a warning to passengers to be aware of a cycle lane as they get off the bus is alarming to say the least, (Floating bus stops are dangerous, January 4).

They are highly dangerous to everyone, but mostly to bus users and pedestrians. Whoever allowed these to be installed the way they are obviously have no knowledge of how traffic functions. Or they simply don’t care.

I presume the installations of dangerous cycle lanes like these have been done in full knowledge they override the rights and safety of bus users and pedestrians!

I am sure there are a number of highways people who could challenge the legality of these dangerous set-ups?
