DUTCH shot-stopper Daphne van Domselaar declared that she “wants to win trophies and achieve big things” with Arsenal after making the switch to north London.

The 24-year-old goalkeeper will wear the number 14 shirt after joining the Gunners on a permanent deal from Women’s Super League rivals Aston Villa.

“I’m really happy to be here and to be a part of the squad,” van Domselaar told the club’s official website. “If you just look at Arsenal – the players, the team, the stadium – it’s just a huge club. You just want to be part of that. You want to win trophies, you want to achieve big things.”

Van Domselaar joins Manuela Zinsberger and Naomi Williams as Arsenal goalkeeping options heading into the 2024/25 campaign.

Gunners head coach Jonas Eidevall said: “We’re delighted to bring Daphne to the club. She is a top goalkeeper and already has considerable experience on some of the biggest stages.”
