ALEXANDER Raptotasios’s bold reimagining of Sophocles’ Greek tragedy explores how the media shapes politics and public discourse on immigration, human rights and extremism. Inspired by the true stories of young women from the UK who became so called “Isis Brides”, Antigone [on strike] follows law student Antiya as she campaigns to bring her sister Esmeh back from Syria. The audience are invited to vote on the narrative as Raptotasios interrogates how our choices are weaponised. Park90, 7pm, Mon-Sat, to Feb 22. parktheatre.co.uk/

The Climate Queens are ready to fight for their future with the help of a little drag magic – but the hot-headed, cold-hearted Alex Acid has other ideas. Fuelled by desperation, greed and corporate interest, will Acid reign? A new musical queering and querying the climate discourse, Acid’s Reign explores the stories we tell about the climate crisis and the compromises we make to tell them. • Francesca Rose’s Learning unravels the poignant journey of Debs and Jonathan – a couple hurtling in opposite directions. • In the split second before a rare (and frankly inconvenient) cosmic event tears Planet Earth to atoms, the last human alive experiences one final moment of consciousness. A one-way rollercoaster ride to the edge of the apocalypse as life, death and the universe collide one final time.. And If The Surface Tension Breaks is about the end of the world, living for the moment, and the mother of all goodbye parties. 7.30pm, Tue-Sat, Feb 11- Mar 1 thelionandunicorntheatre.com/

Nearing 40, painfully shy, and emerging from a toxic break-up, Leah forms a punk band inspired by Lynn from Alan Partridge. As she takes to the stage with no musical ability, will this gig push Leah further over the edge, or help her regain her confidence and find the hope she needs to move on? Laura Horton’s Lynn Faces explores the impact of abusive behaviour, the power of friendship and how silliness can be healing. 7.30pm, Feb 18-Mar 1, newdiorama.com/
